In Greek mythology, Soteria was the goddess or spirit of safety, deliverance, and preservation from harm. We thought she perfectly represented the image we wanted our company to embody: that of a protective, watchful guardian.

THE SOTERIA STORY
Soteria Technology Solutions was born out of frustration with the way most Managed Service Providers (MSPs) do business.
After taking his businesses from one MSP to another, entrepreneur Steve Austin became intent on starting a new IT company that performed the way that he, a user of IT services, would want to be treated – and asked Bill Ramsey, who had previously founded and sold another successful MSP, to help him build it.
In late 2020, the partners decided to expand their services by acquiring Zoku Cloud Solutions, a company that had itself been created by the coming together of several well-known and experienced local IT, Web, and Cloud Service providers.
Further acquisitions would continue to expand the reach and services Soteria has to offer, including Ember Technology, which now acts as our Compliance division.
2024 brought some changes to Soteria. Our telephony division split off, becoming GranSun, LLC. Although no longer part of Soteria, we continue to work closely with the good folks at GranSun. Also, Bill stepped away from running the daily operations to pursue other interests, remaining on the Board of Directors.
As we pass our five-year anniversary, while many things have changed, the founding ideals of providing top-notch customer service and being a true partner aiding in our clients’ success continues to be our driving force.

Community Involvement
Soteria is a proud supporter of Midwest Battle Buddies
Midwest Battle Buddies is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping veterans with PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury by providing service dogs at little to no cost.
It is estimated that 22 veterans a day take their own lives due to PTSD, and a service dog is proven to ease the pressures, the anxiety, and the loneliness that PTSD can bring, greatly improving quality of life.
As one of our founders lost his son to PTSD, this is an issue that hits very close to home, and we are thankful that organizations such as Midwest Battle Buddies are here in our community, making an difference in people’s lives. Fighting for those that fought for us, as they say.
